Wedding Photographer Outfits and Gear
When I’m photographing a wedding, what I wear and what I carry really matters. I need to look polished, feel comfortable, and move freely. Here’s a full list of my favorite wedding photographer outfits and gear and little extras I always bring with me to weddings—plus why I love each one.
What I Wear
Wide-Leg Pants
These are flattering, breathable, and easy to move in for long days on my feet.
- Abercrombie Sloane Tailored Wide Leg Pant – A clean, structured fit that looks elevated but feels effortless. I wear these 95% of all wedding days and have 3 pairs of the same pant!

- Abercrombie Sloane Tailored Wide Leg Pant Curve Love – Same look, more room in the hips for a perfect fit.
- Lululemon Swift Mid-Rise Wide-Leg Pant – Super soft and ideal for hotter temperatures and travel days.

Favorite Tees & Layers
Soft, breathable layers that feel pulled-together without being fussy. I typically wear some form of a black shirt on wedding days. Every now and then a white or off white top. I chose these colors so that my clothing is leaving no color cast on my clients. White is my go-to shirt top color for all portrait sessions to reflect light back into their faces on close-up portraits!
- Abercrombie Essential Tuck Baby Tee – A polished basic that tucks perfectly into trousers.

- Abercrombie Soft Matte Tuckable Baby Tee – Lightweight with a silky feel—great for warm weather weddings.

- Abercrombie Essential Polished Body-Skimming Tee – Slim, smooth, and looks great layered under a blazer or jacket.
- Abercrombie Double Lined Baby Tee – A little thicker with a great fit—zero sheerness.

- Abercrombie Premium Polished Oversized Tee – Oversized but still clean—ideal for a looser fit.
- Lululemon Organic Cotton Straight-Hem Crewneck – Comfy and classic—ideal for a looser fit.
- Lululemon Love Curved-Hem Crewneck T-Shirt – Soft and flattering with a curved hem that layers well.

Accessories & Footwear
Simple, versatile pieces that elevate the whole outfit.
- Target Women’s Solid Horseshoe Belt – Universal Thread – Budget-friendly and pulls any look together.
- Madewell The Remy Mary Jane Flat – Feminine, comfortable, and wedding-appropriate.
- Steven New York Valdez Knit Mule – Easy to slip on and off, but still feels elevated.
What’s In My Camera Bag
Core Gear
Reliable tools that help me shoot efficiently in any lighting or environment.
- Canon R6 Mark II – My main camera body. It’s fast, responsive, and handles low light like a dream.

- Canon RF Lenses – I love the sharpness and flexibility of RF glass for everything from portraits to ceremony wide shots.

- Godox V1-C On Camera Flash – The round flash head gives beautifully soft light, even indoors or during receptions.

Straps & Carry
Function + comfort = non-negotiable when shooting 8–10 hours.
- Hello London Fine Art Dual Camera Strap – Hands-down the prettiest and most practical strap I’ve owned.

- BlackRapid RS-W2 Camera Sling (for female photographers) – Great ergonomic design, distributes weight evenly across your body.
Bags
I rotate between these depending on what I a photographing! The roller bag comes with more for almost every photoshoot including weddings, branding shoots, studio sessions and traveling. I’ll use my camera backpack as a carry on for travel too but mainly use this for local sessions like engagements and family sessions.
- Think Tank Roller Derby V2 – Rolls smoothly on four wheels and holds everything without feeling bulky.
- Brevite The Jumper Camera Backpack – Compact and stylish—perfect for engagement sessions and light travel days. I chose the red bag so that when clients are looking for me out in public I am easy to find! “You’ll find me by the fountain with the red backpack”.

Extras
The little things that keep me going (and often save the day):
- JBL Clip 4 Portable Bluetooth Speaker – Great for playing music during getting ready or portraits.
- Apple AirTag – Peace of mind for my gear bags when traveling.
- Nerd Clusters – My favorite sugar boost mid-day. No apologies.
- Optimum Nutrition Amino Energy Pre Workout – I take this before long weddings—keeps my energy steady.
- Qulomvs Mesh Office Chair with Footrest – My editing chair—comfortable with great support.
- Treadmill Desk Tray – Helps me stay active when editing long hours.
- EltaMD UV Clear Face Sunscreen SPF 46 – Doesn’t break me out and protects my skin all day.
- Hothands Hand Warmers – A must for cold outdoor weddings.
- Cooling Neck Wraps – Total lifesaver during Texas summer weddings.
- BTS Cold Shoe Magsafe iPhone Mount – Great for capturing behind-the-scenes content on my phone.
- BTS Cold Shoe Clamp Phone Mount – Another great option when I want to clamp it to my camera rig.
- Ray-Ban Meta Glasses – Stylish and functional for sunny wedding days.
