Getting Ready + The Morning Moments
Alyssa and Josh’s wedding day at Davis & Grey Farms was the perfect reflection of who they are—warm, intentional, and joy-filled. The venue’s signature black-and-white modern farmhouse design provided the perfect backdrop for their soft color palette of dusty blue, sage green, and ivory. Every detail felt timeless and fresh, beautifully complementing the clean lines and bright natural light of this stunning Celeste, Texas venue.

The morning started with laughter, matching PJs, and heartfelt moments as Alyssa and her bridesmaids got ready. Her mom helped her into her wedding dress (from Sara’s Bridal Boutique) while her bridesmaids waited for the big reveal. The room was full of excitement as Alyssa turned to show them her dress for the first time.

Meanwhile, Josh and his groomsmen brought an entirely different kind of energy to their morning—laid-back and full of “game day” spirit as they suited up in the groom’s suite.

Before the ceremony, Alyssa shared a sweet first look with her dad that left everyone misty-eyed, followed by a quiet, emotional “first touch” with Josh—a moment of calm before the day officially began.

Ceremony at Davis & Grey Farms
The indoor chapel at Davis & Grey Farms never disappoints. Its bright white interior, tall windows, and dramatic black sliding doors create a space that feels both intimate and grand.
As the chapel doors opened, the sunlight poured in and framed Alyssa perfectly—just as she had envisioned. One of my favorite moments was looking over to Josh and seeing the tears swell in his eyes.
Their ceremony was heartfelt and personal, including a unity braid that symbolized their marriage’s strength and faith. The soft blues and greens of their florals by Haute Poppies Floral added an elegant pop of color against the neutral space.
Their joy was contagious as they exited down the aisle—Alyssa leaning into a perfect dip at the end as guests cheered them on.

Portraits & Personal Details
After the ceremony, we captured family and bridal party portraits before heading outside for the newlyweds’ first photos as Mr. and Mrs. Durant. The outside areas surrounding Davis & Grey were glowing with golden-hour light—one of my favorite parts of photographing here.
One of my favorite images from the day is the creative group photo inspired by their welcome mirror, surrounded by their bridal party—a fun, joyful moment that perfectly captured their personalities.

A Joyful & Stylish Reception
Guests were welcomed into the reception space where the modern farmhouse design continued: clean lines, warm wood tones, and a glow from candlelight. Alyssa and Josh did something a little unique and greeted guests personally as they entered—a small gesture that spoke volumes about how much they value their friends and family.
The evening began with the bridal party entrance, followed by the couple’s grand entrance and first dance. The toasts were heartfelt, full of stories and laughter. Later in the night, Alyssa surprised her mom with a special bouquet dedication and dance.

One of the most fun traditions they included was the “photo dash”—Alyssa and Josh sat on the dance floor as each table took turns rushing up for a quick photo before the song ended. As the reception unfolded the dance floor was full from the first song thanks to Corona Entertainment. The energy was electric, and it made for some of the most joy-filled images of the night.

The celebration wrapped up with a sparkler exit surrounded by their guests and the glow of the sparklers.

Design & Aesthetic
Their wedding design perfectly matched the venue’s modern-farmhouse style—refined yet cozy. The dusty blue, sage green, and ivory was so romantic. It was brought to life through florals, linens, and subtle décor. Every detail, from Alyssa’s look by Tease to Please Hair & Makeup to their cake by Sweets by Zeek, tied together seamlessly.
Why This Davis & Grey Farms Wedding Was One to Remember
From the moment I met them at the Davis & Grey open house, I knew their day would be something special! Every part of their wedding day reflected their deep love for one another and the people around them.
Alyssa shared the kindest words on a google review after their wedding day:
Capturing their story at Davis & Grey Farms was truly an honor. I can’t say enough about how much I love working at this venue. Jill and her entire team are some of the kindest vendors in the DFW area.
If you’re planning your own wedding at Davis & Grey Farms or anywhere in DFW and beyond, I’d love to be part of your day. If you’d like to see more celebrations like this, explore more real weddings on the blog.
