Studio Wedding Dress Shoot at Asher Lane Bridal
Melody from Asher Lane Bridal reached out to me about photographing a lookbook of new dresses. Her boutique in Bonham, TX already offers an incredible selection of gowns. But this time, she wanted to feature her latest designer arrivals through a clean, intentional studio shoot.
The session took place on June 12th, inside her bright, in-house studio, Studio 1700. Melody planned the shoot with future brides in mind. She wanted images that felt fresh, editorial, and true to the feel of her shop. With a dream team of creatives and models on board, we made it all happen.
Inside the Studio at Asher Lane Bridal
Studio 1700 at Asher Lane Bridal is directly connected to the shop itself. It’s a large white space filled with natural light, which creates the perfect setting for styled content and portrait sessions. Think of it as a blank canvas—but one that’s full of warmth and intention with floor to ceiling windows allowing so much beautiful sunlight to enter the space.
In addition to the studio, the shop features try-on rooms, getting-ready areas, seating zones, and multiple backdrop options. Whether you’re a bride shopping for your dream dress or a photographer booking a stunning studio shoot, the entire layout is designed for comfort and creativity.
Earlier this year, Melody hosted a charity fashion show right inside this same space. The event celebrated Colby John’s latest bridal collection and raised money for a local cause. I had the honor of photographing it—you can view the full gallery linked below. It’s moments like these that show how Melody’s vision goes beyond dresses. She’s building community.
A Styled Session with Versatility
For this lookbook shoot, we worked with two backdrops—a clean white wall and moody black drapery. The contrast gave us two different looks without ever leaving the space. Both setups let the gowns shine in their own way. The white backdrop gave everything a bright, airy feel. Meanwhile, the black added drama and texture.
The shoot wasn’t just about the dresses. It was about creating content that future brides could see themselves in. Whether standing still or spinning in motion, we wanted each frame to feel real and expressive.
Evie Young Bridal x Asher Lane Bridal
Many of the gowns featured in this shoot were from Evie Young Bridal. Based in Gold Coast, Australia, this designer is known for blending modern style with inclusive sizing (up to size 28). Their gowns are perfect for brides looking for something romantic, bold, or fashion-forward.
Each gown brought its own energy. From sleek silhouettes to delicate lace and detailed trains, there was so much variety. It’s the kind of collection that doesn’t box brides into one style—it invites them to explore.

Each one brought her own presence and movement to the shoot. One of the models, Asia, had her hair and makeup done by Tease to Please Hair and Makeup. Their work added that polished, photo-ready glow without taking away from the dress.

To bring even more life to the shoot, Content by Kayla joined us to film behind-the-scenes content. Her videos give a peek into what it’s like to move in the gowns and see them in action.
